Chapter 壹 — The Mineral
Cinnabar is the colour
of commitment.
For two thousand years, nothing in China was official until it was stamped red. Emperors sealed decrees in it; masters signed charts with it. It is used sparingly at 天機 — only where a promise is made.
Chapter 贰 — The Grinding
Ground slow,
like the year it marks.
Stone on stone, circle after circle. Pigment is not mixed — it is persuaded. Your chart is prepared the same way: birth date, hour and place ground down patiently into four pillars, never rushed.
Chapter 叁 — The Carving
Cut in reverse,
read forwards.
A seal is carved backward so it can stamp the truth forward — the oldest trick in the craft. Your planner works the same way: the heavens are read in reverse from your birth moment, then printed so your year reads clearly ahead.
Chapter 肆 — The Impression
Press, and the year
is sealed.
The chop comes down once — no second impressions. The red blooms into the paper fibres and the reservation becomes a bond. Choose the object it lands on:
Standard Tome
Sewn hardcover in indigo cloth. Debossed cloud-thunder border, gold-foil name and zodiac, gilded edges, cinnabar ribbon. One volume, one year, one reader.
Collector's Set
Four thread-bound seasonal volumes in a cloth slipcase — spring to winter, each opening with its own ink-wash frontispiece. An heirloom object.
